GOing PROfessional

It's time to GO PROFESSIONAL, whether you are an undergrad searching for an internship or related-work experience, or a graduate searching for that first job. You've come to the right place.

UNDERGRADS, we know life can get hectic as a college student with commitments to activities, work, friends, family, and of course academics. However, in today's competitive economy, it is crucial to prioritize gaining relevant experience as an undergrad. At least one internship on your resume will give you a competitive advantage during a job search. The reoccurring complaint from employers nationwide is that new college graduates lack employable skills. Graduates will increase their odds of not being underemployed if their degree has the real value-added factor, and that is accomplished when students learn real-world employable skills that employers are willing to pay for. An internship is an effective way to connect your academic studies to the real world and develop professionally.

GRADUATES, now it's time to use that degree that you've worked so hard to attain. You will find an enormous amount of resources to help you find opportunities in an array of subjects. There are three key areas that we can say with certainty from our experience over the years, that are critical in landing that first job or getting into that graduate school that you want:
  1. undergraduate related work/internship experience,
  2. a connection (alumni, friend, staff or faculty, or family), and
  3. a quality cover letter and resume.

The resources on this website can direct you to not only on-campus undergrad experiences, but also to thousands of career and educational opportunities nationwide. If you have any questions, please click on the CAREER LINKS tab to contact our staff.  Good luck in your search!
